Investor Questions, Answered

Practical answers about access, opportunities, communication, confidentiality, and diligence.

Category 01

Access & Onboarding

How investors enter the private marketplace.

How do I join as an investor?

Create an account, select the investment journey, and complete the applicable onboarding information about your investment objective and preferences.

Do investors need a paid plan?

Yes. The applicable paid marketplace plan is required for the corresponding investor marketplace access and eligible communication functionality.

Does HTBS manually verify every investor?

This page does not claim that HTBS performs a formal verification, accreditation, financial certification, or institutional due diligence process on every investor. Investors provide information through onboarding so the marketplace can understand their stated investment preferences.

How quickly will I receive access?

HTBS does not promise a fixed access time on this page. Timing may depend on completion of onboarding, the applicable plan, and the marketplace workflow.

Category 02

Opportunities

What marketplace listings represent.

What kinds of opportunities can investors discover?

The investor journey is focused on SaaS businesses that founders have listed for fundraising. Acquirers use a separate journey for businesses exploring a sale.

Are founder listings reviewed before they go live?

Yes. Founder fundraising listings go through HTBS review before they can be approved for marketplace activation. Fundraising submissions also include an introductory founder call.

Does HTBS verify every financial figure in a listing?

No. HTBS review is not a financial audit or independent verification of every figure, statement, document, legal claim, technical claim, or commercial representation.

Does HTBS recommend the businesses listed?

No. Marketplace publication should not be interpreted as a recommendation that an investor should invest in a particular listed business.

Category 03

Founder Communication

How interest can progress into a conversation.

Can I express interest in a live opportunity?

Yes. Relevant marketplace participants can express interest in opportunities they want to explore further.

Can I message founders through HTBS?

Eligible paid users can use the applicable internal marketplace inbox functionality. HTBS remains present as a mediator during relevant marketplace conversations.

Does HTBS introduce opportunities directly?

HTBS can introduce relevant live fundraising opportunities to participants within its private investor network where appropriate. An introduction does not guarantee that either party will continue.

Can HTBS coordinate a meeting with the founder?

Yes. HTBS can help coordinate a meeting when the participating parties want the conversation to progress. The process is not limited to a particular scheduling provider.

Category 04

Confidentiality

How information sharing should progress.

Will I receive every sensitive document immediately?

No assumption should be made that all sensitive information is available at the initial discovery stage. Additional information may be exchanged as the conversation becomes more relevant.

Can an NDA be required?

Yes, where appropriate. An NDA or other confidentiality arrangement may be used before more sensitive founder or business information is exchanged.

Does HTBS guarantee complete anonymity?

No blanket anonymity guarantee should be assumed. The marketplace is intended for private deal conversations, but participants should understand the applicable workflow and handle sensitive information carefully.

Does HTBS guarantee enterprise-grade security?

This page does not make unsupported claims about encryption standards, infrastructure certifications, audit logging, or other technical security controls. Participants should rely on published HTBS security documentation only where those controls are specifically documented.

Category 05

Due Diligence

What investors remain responsible for evaluating.

Does HTBS perform investor due diligence for me?

No. Investors remain responsible for their own financial, legal, tax, technical, commercial, contractual, security, and other diligence.

Should I independently verify founder information?

Yes. Information supplied through a marketplace listing should be independently evaluated before making an investment decision.

Can I request additional information?

Depending on the opportunity and stage of the conversation, additional information may be exchanged between the parties as part of deeper evaluation.

Should I obtain professional advice?

Investors should obtain whatever financial, tax, legal, technical, or other professional advice they consider appropriate before proceeding with an investment.

Category 06

Investment Outcomes

What HTBS does and does not promise.

Does HTBS guarantee investment opportunities will perform well?

No. HTBS does not guarantee investment returns, business performance, future valuation, liquidity, exit outcomes, or any other investment result.

Does a live listing mean the company has been endorsed by HTBS?

No. A live marketplace listing means the opportunity has progressed through the applicable HTBS listing workflow. It is not an endorsement or investment recommendation.

Does HTBS negotiate investment terms for me?

Investors and founders remain responsible for evaluating and negotiating valuation, ownership, structure, rights, commercial terms, and other transaction conditions.

Can either side stop the conversation?

Yes. Marketplace participation, interest, introductions, or meetings do not require either party to complete an investment.
